Lifelong friend

Created by Roger 3 years ago

I met Tony (TG as he was always known to me) at school in 1965 when I moved to Herne Bay with my parents. He was one of many classmates I have kept in contact with for all these many years. Together with Geoff Gambrill and Colin Tullet we forged a friendship that would last up until this day despite me moving around the country with my job, and his moving to Norfolk. We all became involved with Theatrecraft in Herne Bay back in those days and took part in many shows (me always being backstage or in the orchestra pit - never venturing to 'tread the boards' as he enjoyed so much). He was kind enough to be my best man at my wedding with Dawn and suitably took the mick out of me in his speech at the reception afterwards in his own inimitable fashion.

He has been a good friend and will be sorely missed. Keep 'em laughing up there TG.
